Maggie Henry’s instantly recognisable “Patchwork Landscapes” are vibrant and witty modern portrayals of local Scottish scenes. Her current work has developed and grown from a commission to produce a series of book illustrations comprising black and white line drawings. By building colour into these and working in a mixture of watercolour, acrylic and ink, she has used graffito and a range of other techniques to produce lively and appealing paintings in her own distinctive style. Born and raised in Ayrshire, Maggie continues to live and work in the Irvine Valley with her husband and their two sons. She is happy to consider any commissions and can be contacted on 07538487652.
